WESCO's employees - at all levels - are renowned for their expertise and extra effort in serving customers. Our senior management team alone has nearly 200 years of combined experience in the distribution business.
Sales:
Our general sales force is supported by 400 Branches and is more than 2,400 employees strong. The sales force is also supported by centralized customer service centers and additional resources in product management, purchasing, inventory control, and sales management. Each Branch serves one or more designated market segments:Global Accounts:
Within WESCO's sales force, we have specific sales personnel dedicated to large customers with multi-locations that we call Global Accounts. Our Global Accounts sales force coordinates Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) procurement and materials management activities across multiple locations for industry-leading industrial and commercial companies.
WESCO's industry-focused National Account Managers develop service and supply programs tailored to customers' specific requirements. Joined by specialists in implementation and cost improvement, and an expert group of contract administrators and pricing analysts, WESCO's National Account Managers lead teams that combine national marketing and sales support with local product fulfillment and services through a network of 400 Branches throughout North America.
Marketing:
Because of the wide range and sheer number of products (215,000+ SKUs) our Branches and Distribution Centers stock, comprehensive marketing support for our sales force is essential to WESCO.
WESCO's Marketing Group's primary objectives are to:
- Support Branch sales and marketing activities
- Establish a joint marketing planning process with suppliers
- Provide sales tools to increase the ramp up of sales to targeted customers and market segments
- Develop industry-leading marketing collateral and product catalogs
Logistics:
Our Logistics organization handles customer service issues and manages stock and product flow.
Unparalleled in the industry, WESCO's logistics services enable us to deliver products with accuracy and represent a key competitive advantage.

Finance:
Our Financial Services group adds value to WESCO by working closely with Branches and customers, helping to facilitate sales growth and proactively manage accounts.Our Financial Services group strives to establish constructive credit policies and procedures and to administer credit operations that will contribute to customer satisfaction and company profit.
Information Systems:
WESCO's Information Systems group provides technology solutions to critical business functions such as customer service, inventory and logistics management, accounting and administrative support that enable WESCO to better compete in today's marketplace.
Our Branch Network has complete access to powerful tools, enabling them to analyze a wide variety of detailed operational and financial information by Branch, customer, product category, or supplier. This 24/7 access to important sales information gives our Branches the edge when servicing our customers.
e-Business:
WESCO's e-Business group has established WESCO as an industry leader in rapid e-implementation to our customers' procurement systems and in providing integrated procurement functionality.
Our e-Commerce website, WESCODirect.com is a powerful tool that enables customers to increase ordering efficiency, deploy secure Internet purchasing throughout their organization, and gain around-the-clock access to critical information.
