The most critical element of our performance,
progress, and positive momentum is
found within our organization. At year end,
we had over 6,000 employees contributing
to WESCO’s success. This gives us the
size and scale needed to serve customers
of all types throughout North America
and selected international markets. The
collective strength of hundreds of large
and small “extra-effort” ideas, action, and
initiatives had a significant positive impact
on our company and customers in 2005.
But, numbers and statistics do not
adequately describe the impact our
employees have had on recent successes.
Our organizational strength is driven by the
energy level, responsiveness, enthusiasm,
and commitment of thousands of employees
who epitomize the work ethic and service mindset captured on our long-established
motto, “The Extra Effort People.” Extra
Effort is the fuel that powers our momentum
and constantly drives us toward continuous
improvement in completing today’s work
more efficiently and laying the foundation
for future capabilities, more responsive service,
and increasingly profitable operations.
We begin 2006 in a very strong position,
but there is more work to be accomplished.
Our team is committed to advancing the
"extra-effort" work ethic while focusing
on continuous learning and continuous
improvement. With our team’s dedication
and drive, we are confident that 2006 will
