Klein Tools -- The preferred choice for linemen
Robert Padgett is the first-class lineman training specialist for Lakeland Electric in Lakeland, Fla. He has been a lineman for almost 19 years, starting his career at Lakeland Electric and moving into his current position at the company several years ago.

As a lineman training specialist, Padgett is responsible for training apprentices, which includes advising them as to what tools they need for the job. The tools that Padgett chooses must be durable, versatile and comfortable to use.

His preferred choice of lineman hand tools are from Klein Tools, an American company that has been manufacturing since 1857. Each lineman is equipped with Klein’s side-cutting lineman pliers, which are what Klein Tools is most well-known for.
