WESCO Energy Solutions completed a lighting and controls upgrade for 500,000 sq. ft. Convention Center. The project included a 10,500 seat Sports Arena, a 2,526 seat Auditorium, 76,500 sq. ft. of Exhibit Space, 22 separate breakout rooms, a 25,000 sq. ft. Banquet Hall and a 20,000 sq. ft. Ballroom. The project focused on reducing energy consumption and costs while avoiding costly maintenance in the future.

Project Scope:

  • Created control solution to include: 11 distinct operational areas each with multiple zone control and scene/lighting level options
  • Integrated a new control system with the existing system​
  • Provided staff training and 2 years labor warranty
  • Designed a dual control approach to initiate 6 scenes for Hockey, Basketball, Concerts, Intermission, Walk-ins, and all On/Off modes
  • Designed suite lights to be controlled using On/Off and phase-cut dimming
  • Installed sensors facing the entrance doors to turn lights ON when the suite is occupied and OFF when no occupancy is detected
