Innovation is about creating new opportunities, both from the current ecosystem that an organization operates in and the horizontal and vertical markets that the organization impacts.
Innovation goes beyond the company itself. It includes interactions with customers, suppliers and business partners across the globe. When working with a broader ecosystem, it’s important to identify opportunities that create value for everyone involved. I believe that collaboration and connectedness are at the core of innovation.
In order to achieve an innovation mindset, build a culture that allows you to focus on current business operations but also allows you to have a broader view of where the industry and technology are headed. When cultivating innovation in your organization, consider market trends that may impact your organization and ecosystem in the short and long term.
