National Retailer Saves $56.2 Million in Energy Costs with Turnkey Lighting Solution

Customer: National Drug Store Chain

Project

When one of the largest and fastest-growing retailers in the world stepped up their energy savings initiatives, they turned to Wesco for a turnkey solution and streamlined execution. With a wide variety of store layouts and existing lighting technologies in place, the project presented complex challenges of project management and product selection. The project’s overwhelming success demonstrates why leading retailers consider Wesco as the ultimate resource for reducing their energy and maintenance costs.

Solutions

To meet the enormous scale of this project, the Wesco team provided  full project management  services, including:

  • Store surveys and audits
  • Material stocking and distribution
  • Work scheduling with local store managers
  • Permit application and approval

We also delivered a streamlined rebate and proposal process, created new standards in customer service, and accelerated execution. To handle the large number of simultaneous retrofits, we established dedicated product warehouses and secured additional suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supplies.
