Utility customer was experiencing increasing costs, lead times and diminishing supply with their necessary rubber goods materials. A solution was needed to decrease the total demand of new rubber goods material in the program and diminish the total spend on replacement PPE.

Solution

In an effort to reduce costs and alleviate manufacturer-driven supply concerns, Hi-Line proposed transitioning quarterly rotations from a delayed in & out framework to a shared inventory exchange program. This would allow inactive or excess inventory from one location to be utilized in another location instead of sitting stagnant.
