The Power of Liquid Immersion Cooling Technology

Liquid Cooling is Revolutionizing the Way Data Centers Meet Sustainability Goals

In the ever-evolving landscape of data center operations, efficiency and sustainability are paramount concerns. As data demands continue to surge with the expanding use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), traditional air-cooled systems are being pushed to their limits. Traditional air-cooled racks, even racks using rear-door heat exchangers, typically don’t provide the cooling capacity needed for emerging technologies such as high-density GPU systems.

In response, a growing number of data center owners and operators are turning to alternative cooling solutions, which introduce liquid cooling options to address the challenges and unlock new levels of performance. These liquid cooling solutions can include options such as direct-to-chip and immersion cooling, both of which involve the use of a fluid to cool what used to be cooled by air. This article will focus on liquid immersion cooling.
